Should Fishing from the beach be Illegal?
If many did not know by now, Florida has recently passed a law, requiring people who want to fish from the beach, to purchase a fishing license. The license is for shoreline fishing and costs nine dollars. Some say that fishing from the shore is an "American right" and all should be able to participate without a price. As for me, I am, for the most part, for the requirement. Yes, it is an inconvenience and does cost some money. Even at a time like this, where people are already struggling, it makes it hard for people to do what they love to do. Saying this, I don't mind the requirement. It is nine dollars, which is not that much at all. Also, all the money goes back to FWC... which in turn, benefits fishermen anyways. As long as the money is coming back to the fisherman and isn't benefiting anyone else, I do not mind paying the nine dollars.

Living Close to Bass Pro Shop
At first, living in Tampa, I wish I lived closer to a Bass Pro Shop. Being an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt, Bass Pro Shop is the closest thing to heaven on earth for me. The endless rows of camo, fishing supplies, and hunting accesories and guns make it by far my favorite place to go shopping. This use to be acceptable when I only visited Bass Pro once a year since it was so far away. I would only be able to spend a certain amount of money that I had at the time. Now, living in Fort Myers with a Bass Pro Shop down the street, I find it tremendously hard to keep any money I have in my wallet. There is always something new I want to get our check out, which leads to me wanting to buy something. I know my purchases are not needed, and are even pointless at times but I can not help but go back time after time to spend my depleting money supply. So I guess living so close to Bass Pro is bittersweet, having its perks and its disadvantage, which include going broke. Hopefully a job for me at Bass Pro will await in the future, granting me endless discounts and a place that I would love to work.

Fishing in North Lake
Being an avid angler, the need to fish is always a present fustration. Nothing is better than a day on the water. Today, on my down time, I thought "hey, why not try the fishing in North Lake". After an hour of continuous fishing, cast after cast, I sadly came to the conclusion that no fish reside in that lake. I post this in order to warn people, not to get high hopes when fishing the North Lake Village Lake.
